What was the highlight of Joytel Hotel Osaka Shinsekai
Despite facing the issues with the room, the staff definitely made our stay at the hotel enjoyable.
The breakfast buffet had a wide range of options, and it tasted amazing. Their breakfast items change daily, which made the breakfast options very exciting.  The location itself is great as it is very accessible to both Dobutsumae station as well as Shin-Imamiya station. As a bonus mention, the hotel staff was exceptional and definitely one of the highlights of this hotel. They do have English-speaking staff, and they are quick at attending to issues you are facing.
It would definitely be the room. The esthetic of the room is amazing, and the view for the rooms facing Shinsekai is great.  However, the first room we booked into has an air conditioning problem where it was loud and kept vibrating, which caused the wall the air conditioner is attached to vibrate as well. When feedbacked to the hotel staff, they quickly came up to the room to rectify the issue. However, they were not able to get the repairman to come until one week later, so they apologized and shifted us to another room, where the view was not as great, and compensated us in other ways for the inconvenience. After shifting to the new room, we were faced with more issues, like the air conditioner not being cold, and when we tried to lower the temperature of the air conditioner even further, it would start making a louder noise than the first room. We also had an issue where the hook by the back of the toilet door is not there as well and the toilet wall is stained, which we had no idea what kind of stain it was.  After giving feedback to the staff again, they told us there were no available rooms left and apologized for the inconvenience.

Wonderful
Hotel was close to both a JR line station and subway station, plus plenty of restaurants within walking distance so was very easy for us to get around Osaka. The staff were incredibly helpful and accommodating.
The room was pretty small, but this is standard for Japan.
